This past weekend I headed to downtown Raleigh for the soft opening of 42 & Lawrence. I've been eagerly awaiting this ever since I heard about it from one of the employees at Larry's Coffee a few months ago. So I kept an eye out on the storefront of 42 & Lawrence, and it felt like forever that the windows were taped up with paper and no actual opening date was advertised. All I knew is that it would be sometime this summer.
At last the time arrived and I darted on down to check it out.
A dear friend took it upon herself to drive these goodies over to me when she thought it would brighten my day. Good friends, good food, good thinking!
You'll want to savor these amazing flavors and the surprising textures of these marvelous creations. Hooah!!! I don't know why Al Pacino just took over my spirit and said that. Actually, the character he famously played in Scent of a Woman said it, and that silly & funny exclamation seems very apropos here.
